Nine Fathom Deep
Nine Fathom Deep is a contemporary art gallery in central Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, where artists, collectors and audiences can connect and
participate in a considered programme of exhibitions and events.
The gallery curates a cross section of practice, from established to emerging artists from Aotearoa New Zealand and abroad.
Vision
The gallery will feature solo and small group exhibitions, which reflect individual practice, encourage cross-media endeavour and utilise the full gallery space.
Personal and professional engagement in trusting relationships is central to our alternative approach to traditional artist representation.
Our extended vision is to offer artist residencies, workshops and aligned events that support and complement our exhibition programme.
Organisation
Nine Fathom Deep is owned and supported by Wellington collectors as a part of their philanthropic portfolio supporting the arts and charitable projects.
The gallery is run independently by a curatorial team, who bring knowledge and experience from across the sector, underpinned by their background as practicing artists.
