Vast, solitary spaces of raw beauty and quiet threat: a frontier, resistant to the prescribed conventions of genre. Negativland: The North Borders IX occupies a zone between conscious and subconscious landscapes, where small human gestures register across a disorientating terrain. Here, the sublime is distilled to infinite scale, altered perception and suspended motion.
