Noa Noa Von Bassewitz

Noa Noa von Bassewitz is an artist of Māori, German, and Scottish descent who lives and works in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/ Wellington. Her lifelong fascination with myths and archetypal stories that span cultures underpins a practice that has evolved from printmaking to multidisciplinary work. Most recently, she has been developing large-scale inflatable sculptures as part of her MFA at Toi Rauwhārangi, Whiti o Rehua.

Von Bassewitz holds a BA from the University of Otago, a PgDip in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary), and a PgDip in Fine Arts from Massey University.
