Wendy Lawson

Wendy Lawson is an embodied artist working with textiles, found materials, and domestic-built environments, in processes of wrapping, casting, and layering. Her work traces human movement and connection, by responding to the entanglement of body and materials, in both constructed and natural contexts. She values the depth that arises when her practice enters dialogue with other works and ideas, drawing her toward socially engaged projects and group exhibitions.

Lawson holds a BFA from the University of Canterbury, an MA AT (Honours) and an MFA (Honours) from Whitecliffe College of Art & Design
