Neil Pardington: Kōrimurimu

Kōrimurimu extends Neil Pardington’s exploration of rimurapa (bull kelp) through large-scale photographs and intimate studies rendered exclusively in black and white. Suspended between Western systems of classification and the knowledge traditions of mātauranga Māori, each image offers a reflection on what is gained and what is lost in the act of preservation.
